Setter roles that run fully from home: qualifying and booking meetings, from anywhere.
All sales jobs
German listings use both words for the same thing: you do not work from the client’s office. Calls run over phone or video, and appointments go straight into the closer’s calendar. Technically you need a laptop, a headset and a stable connection.
Setting is many short contacts plus consistent follow-up. Most people work in fixed blocks rather than spreading calls across the day, which keeps focus up and forgotten follow-ups down. Remote makes both harder, because nobody is sitting next to you.
Many setter roles run on a few hours a day and fit alongside studies or another job. What matters is not the total hours but when you are reachable: prospects want to be called during the day. Agree on that window before you start.
The criteria vary by client, but four questions come up almost every time: does the prospect actually have the problem you described? Can they decide on budget, or is someone else needed? Is there a timeframe? And did they commit to the appointment? Get these criteria in writing before you start. Without them you will end up arguing about which appointments get paid.
